Birth of a Bicycle, update






It's been a little while since we updated you on the progress of Lori's new custom bike.  Well, Ed at La Suprema had been working on it in secret.  As you can see from the photos that the frame and fork are almost done and ready for paint!  Take a look at those lugs!  Apparently, after the blueprints are drawn up, putting the frame together doesn't take much time.  Of course the devil is in the details - filing, sanding, polishing all take considerable time and expertise.  Ed is a true craftsman.  He says we may see a finished product in a couple of weeks.  Oh yeah, then we get to actually put all the parts on it!

By the way, Ed does not weld his frames.  He uses brazing in which silver alloy is melted between the lug and the tube as seen in the photos below.
